    Ross

Brilliant! I’ve long thought that more horse racing videos should include pole dancing cows and car chases!

The form rating stuff was pretty cool as well!

Looking forward to the next video.

    All the best

Thank you I found your video interesting I have to admit at 70 and being semi-disabled I find it hard to concentrate on paper work and documents and pages of form. Most of my planned bets are for the early season flat maidens for which I use breeding but that’s not as easy now. My study of breeding comes from in my younger days breeding and showing price mice the awards and prices where endless. Now when I was first taken ill and could not get out, I started looking at horse breeding and it came out to be very much the same. As an instance like in mice the important thing is that the main breeding is not the dam or sire of a horse but their dams and sire simply the grand parents thier distances and speed ect. Sorry if I am going on but an instance of one sire Efisio I found that odd it seem horse breed from him in many races won if it was raining yes odd but true. Now at the moment I place my bets just before the off and sometimes go on instinct stupid yes but I do get 8 out of 10 right and with smallish wagers make £20 £30 a day
again sorry to go on but that’s me

Hi Mike, can i just say fantastic comment i loved it. You are certainly well informed and you obviously have your own very keen eye when it comes to horses, not many people even look at the breeding so to be clued up like you are, all i can say is give me a call for a chat. All the best Mike, get well soon. Ross

very informative thank you- obviously a very silly question, but computers are built to sift and go through immense amounts of data -why hasnt anyone done a system whereby you download the racing post races for example and press a button and the computer does the rest ?

  12. Geoff W

An excellent video which certainly demonstrated some useful very form procedures. I have a couple of questions. First, why did you choose that specific race to highlight and if your form selection procedure does not highlight the actual race favourite, as in this case, is there any value in laying the favourite?

I think I have ‘the best of the Blog’ being a member of Frontline Lays, but don’t think I have ‘The Platinum Method’ though. I agree that Farmers are f****ed up, I suppose they are mentally stuck in the medieval times or something, and being disorientated by the 21st Century, makes them even more f****ed up.

Hi Rupert, sounds like you certainly know your racing, and by the sounds of it you have had some big name contacts. Just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who has opted in, downloaded the PDF and consumed the video…

… I want the next 10 or so days to be a great event and I am going to give away another two backing tactics, a mindset video and show why horse racing is always changing and how you need to stay current to be ahead of the game and profit continually, all year round.

Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the video, I wanted to do something a little different, if you haven’t already then please make some notes of the class value system used today so that you can use it whenever you want.

    Thanks
    Ross

  28. Ross Turner

@ Phil it takes a phenomenal amount of time and the right team of computer boffins to do something like that. I am sure it has been done, but somethings need looking at personally.

@ Geoff W if you watch the video again, you will see that I highlight the fav as well as potentially 3 others, in the end after some form reading I decided on 3 and edited my stakes accordingly. If the fav really isn’t in your plans then of course there is always that option to lay them, however in this video series I am just concentrating on backing :)

This is one of the better video’s and much better than I had been led to believe.

please do not use your friends e-mail address as you direct your clients to FL and Kevin does not know what I am talking about if I reply to your e-mail.

Michael wilding and you are linked that should be a good sign and now I can see the value of your software in conjunction with his spread sheets which have been very good the last two days.

I think I just need to use your FL soft ware to reduce the four contenders down to three if not two.
due to profits and cost of dutching all four contenders. That I get from Race Advisor spread sheets.

    Dear Ross

Thanks very much for access to the video and your pdf book download.

Enjoyed the intro to the video, and found the content easy to follow and

logical. I am also a fan of using dutching in my bets. Had a quick look at the book.

Looks very interesting and will look forward to reading it.

The poledancing cow reminded me of some of the losers I have backed.

    All the best.

    David

    • Ross Turner

Hi David, i think we have all backed a few of those from time to time lol, usually when concentration levels or distractions creep in. Dutching is such a good way to split up selections and convert your betting percentages, it can really make a difference to keeping you on the winning side.

    Hi Ross,

    Your software looks interesting.
    What are your future plans?
Are you going to sell your software or get subscriptions for it?
Are you going to provide daily selections services?
Or you may have other plans.

    Regards,
    James

    • Ross Turner

Hi James, all will be reviled soon, however i can say that i wont and have never provided a selection service (i.e a tipping service), subscriptions are a pain for all concerned and the admin is more hassle than its worth. Im into providing software which has the ability to be flexible to many different betting styles for anyone who wishes to use my software, thus making the entire selection process more straight forward and providing different methods in which you the user can view the competition of any horse within UK races therefore making it easier to spot potential winners.

Good of you to offer these methods for our benefit, as always it’s appreciated.

    • Ross Turner

Hi jack, racing is such that we constantly need to adapt and try new methods as well as stick to certain tried and tested ones.

  51. shaun price

Hi ross, 1st let me say a very interesting video, the emails that you have sent me i assure you have not been ignored its just that like yourself i,m in this game full time too.

The difference being i make money by keeping an ever watchful eye on the markets, i make around 100 points a month and sometimes more in the summer months.

You may be thinking why am i contacting you regarding your software if i,m making a nice living out of what i,m already doing?…the answer is simple=TIME,…i basically stare at my monitor for hours and while i know hard work does pay for sure but after finding a way to make a living at this i am now turning my attentions to wanting to find something that does not require endless hours.

So mt question is a simple one,…one which i,m sure you get asked alot, with less time than what i put in each day(10 hours each day, 6 days a week) can your software backing mainly the top 2 to 3 rated selections make me money?

Hope i dont sound too blunt but i would be interested in what you have to say, many congratulations to what you have achieved.

    Regards
    S Price

    • Ross Turner

Hi Shaun thanks for the honest comments.
Ok well it certainly seems like your racing is finely tuned already apart from the time spent doing so. However i do find that some areas of racing require more time spent on them than others. Its true that you do need to put in a great deal of time and effort to get the most out of them in life and racing is certainly no different and without preaching racing demands you to put everything you have into it. Software speed up the process greatly and i have many clients who would tell you that the FL software has saved them hours and hours or website trawling on a daily basis as well as finding winners on a daily basis. As for Backing the Top Two Rated – Yes, as long as you don’t blindly back every single horse in every race, you still need to remove the weaker races and weaker selection.. The software provides a solid foundation and structured filter system as well as many other features which allows us to produce a large winning number of top selected horses in certain races. Handicap and Non Handicap giving us the best volume of winners, its then a case of sorting out the best races and horse to be involved with to stack the odds in our favour. By using the software and opening any race you can instantly get an idea as to which horses you should concentrate on and which are simply making up the numbers. I hope that helps :)

Hi Phil it could be that your internet speed timed out..! You could maybe try letting the video load or refresh and try again.

  55. Jon hancock

Great video. The software looks fantastic. Because of time constraints I struggle to do more than one race a day. With this I could do many more and more thoroughly.
So the question everyone’s asking is when is this becoming available and how much please.

    • Ross Turner

Hi Jon, nice one thanks. Well you will be finding out more soon so please stay tuned. Time is certainly a big factor for all of us and reading a few other comments people seem to be on the same page as to never having enough time to do more racing. The software is designed to save hours of form reading, and for me and my clients who use it on a daily basis the saving can be as great as the selections and racing opportunities it produces. , however the software is about so much more than that. I will be in touch again soon :)

  56. Jack

Not your fault or problem Ross. I am quite deaf therefore I cannot follow the videos. I hope that the pdf file will be worth reading. I will comment on that later

  65. A W Bower

Have read your blogs. In summation I agree whole-heartedly with your principles. I designed a system which looked at 18 factors affecting form of every horse in every race. The success of this system was measured by the fact that during Cheltenham week I could make a profit in excess of 50 points. The higher the quality of racing the better my selections.

I must disagree with you on Class conclusions. I found that of horses that stepped up in Class, 49.39 won their races and of those that dropped in Class only 19.47% won.

I am unable to run this system as the source of my data (Adrian Massey) has ceased to exist.

Perhaps you know of an alternative?

Hi Michael, well i have actually been retired since the New Year and all the videos and documents I made for this launch we all made last year, however its taken me longer than i thought to actually pull as this together for everyone to see, hence my retirement has continued into 2012. To be honest since i mentioned the word retire ive been busier than ever, and been inundated with requests for me to stay around. Still as long as people are happy and i can give them something useful to use in there betting then all the effort is worthwhile. All the best.

Looks a good bit of kit. How early an you use the software. i.e. can you start your analysis the night before? As i often have things to do in the morning. How flexible is it? i.e. can you alter the no. of columns to tailor it to your own systems & thus not get swamped by superfluous data. or even add a column

Hi Charles, with Fl we do our number crunching first thing in a morning as a final check so no data is available the night before, usually the ratings are ready around 7-7:30am The software is a very flexible tool you can add and remove horses history v ground, course, distance, class, race type etc with the click of a button. The software also highlights data which matches todays running conditions so that you can spot potential selections in seconds. You can also create filters so that the software automatically finds selections matching you criteria once you download todays ratings to save you going through the whole race card. Hope that helps.
